Effective Friday, Nov. 6 at 5pm, Heinkel’s will no longer accept whole deer for processing. This decision was not made lightly. Sadly, the pandemic has forced our hand. Although we currently have no positive cases of Covid-19 in our facility, a handful of employees are isolating at home due to family members having tested positive for Covid-19. We simply do not have the staffing levels necessary to undertake the skinning and deboning functions we have provided to this great community for more than 35 years.
However, we are accepting boneless or deboned meat! Customers can still order all of their favorite venison products based off of their boneless venison weight at Heinkel’s. And, there’s a silver lining: processing boneless meat will speed up order processing, likely within 2 to 3 weeks from you dropping off your de-boned meat.
All office hours and weekend hours will remain the same for order intake and order pick up. Out of respect for our employees and our life-long customers, we felt obligated to notify the public as early as possible to protect the 2020 deer harvest. Thank you for your
understanding, and your continued business.
